This is my first painting in the series “B-Sides”, like grooves of alternating dark and light muscle tissue this is the earthy counterpart. I wanted to use these patterns found in an aerial landscape because they reminded me of the markings found in the wing of an insect. Woven together the striated tundra flutters about the canvas to create movement.
