After producing my series “Water” I became fascinated with the movement of frozen landscapes and its similarity to actual water. In this third piece in the series “B-Sides” I have layered 3 distinct frozen landscapes to create bubbling sea mist movement atop water. While painting this piece I was reading Siddartha by Hermann Hesse and found that this excerpt fits nicely with this piece. “He looked lovingly into the flowing water, into the transparent green, into the crystal lines of it's wonderful design. He saw bright pearls rise from the depths, bubbles swimming on the mirror, sky blue reflected in them. The river looked at him with a thousand eyes--green, white, crystal, sky blue...."
